Hot Georgia Winds tugged at my heartstrings from the very first pages. Ms. Boyett-Compo gives a realistic look into how some men end up as male prostitutes. She did not sugar coat it, and I appreciated that. The deep and abiding love that Brandyn and Francesca have for one another lives and breathes in the story. The love scenes are intense and emotional, and you get inside both the main characters minds making them very realistic. The suspense of wondering whether this couple will get to stay together keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. This book in plain terms is a keeper, and I cannot recommend it enough!

HOT GEORGIA WINDS has a great plot and appealing characters. This reviewer got a little lost at times with some of the secondary people because there seemed to be too many of them at times. The pacing of the story also made it a little hard to stay involved in because of the jumps from Georgia to New Orleans and from the past to the present. Brandyn is a character that this reviewer could not help but have sympathy for, he has lived such a painful life and it shows through in his relationship with Francesca. Francesca appears to be quite in tune with Brandyn’s emotions, not to mention completely unashamed of marrying a male prostitute, making them an interesting couple with eventful trips whenever they leave her private estate.

Charlotte Boyett-Compo weaves an exceptional story. This is not light reading as she shows us some of the worst and best people that life somehow turns out. Into all of the serious and often sad parts of the storyline Ms.. Boyett-Compo spreads wit and some excellent one liners between friends and lovers. This tale is full of characters, each playing a part to enhance or broaden the story. There’s plenty of action both in and out of bed that makes the book move quickly. And there are times of suspense when you just wish it could move a little faster! This is a stand alone book but some of the best characters we meet have their own stories in other books by this excellent storyteller.
