EMPEROR OF THE WIND is a very touching story of true love and passion. Charlotte Boyett-Compo once again brings her Reapers to life in this very intriguing story. Unlike most of Charlotte Boyett-Compo's stories, there is no torture or beatings in this one. Instead, we have the very real love and passion shared by Ryden and Miriam. Miriam is a very headstrong woman and doesn't plan on backing down from what she wants. Ryden is a very typical Alpha male and has no intentions of allowing Miriam to be hurt in any way. So we have Ryden being forced to accept that he cannot keep Miriam free of all pain. While different from most of her stories, this one is a very tender love story. As with all of Charlotte Boyett-Compo's stories, I highly recommend this one.

BITTEN BY BOOKS

I truly enjoyed Kiss of the Wind. Charlotte Boyett-Compo excelled at bringing across the emotions of her characters. The loneliness of Aeral tugged at my heart. The desire and erotically written scenes made this a hot read. The familiar strife of family disputes made it easier to relate to the Gods. All in all, it was a wonderful book. I am glad to have found this tale enriched with love, lust, and trouble! I am going to have to look into more of Ms. Boyett-Compo’s books!
