COFFEETIME ROMANCE REVIEWS

Desire's Sirocco is a lush and sensual story of a far off kingdom
where women are
trained to be the best lovers possible to the men who choose them.
The story has
romance, action, and a bit of paranormal flavor as well. Definitely
something for
everyone.
Jameela has been sold to the Master Trainer for the Brotherhood at
Lalssu. Dagan
Kiel's responsibility is to train Jameela to bring pleasure to the
Brother who chooses her. During the training, Jameela falls in love
with Dagan. However, Dagan cannot have her, not only does the Grand
Master choose Jameela for his mate and lady wife; but Dagan has been
castrated.
Jameela might have been sold into servitude but she is no weak willed
slave. She
faces some very big challenges toward the end of the story but holds
up against them well. Dagan is a great alpha male warrior hero and
the other characters, the Grand Master and Neith are richly written
and three-dimensional.
There are some great twists and turns in the story that I will not
reveal, but were written with skill by Boyett-Compo. You are engaged
from the first page, and more surprises meet you around each corner.
The physical chemistry between Jameela and Dagan is explosive but also
very sweet. More than a series of great sexual encounters (and there
are many in Desire's Sirocco), this is a love story between two people
facing many obstacles to being together.
Ellora's Cave has another hit on their hands with Desire's Sirocco! I
highly recommend this book.

THE ROMANCE STUDIO

Desire's Sirocco is a novel with an intense plot and sad situations.
There is a mystery that is revealed concerning Dagan, but I won't
give that away. Jameela is caught between following her heart and
doing what she's been taught, she doesn't have much say in the
situation and it's hard on her emotionally. This book is a roller
coaster of ups and downs and will keep you reading just to see what
happens next. There is one point though where Jameela makes it clear
she doesn't mind being shared and I wanted to scream how can you say
that and say you are in love at the same time, however this does fit
into the story and you later see why. This is a very interesting read
and I think readers will enjoy the plot and characters.

JUST EROTIC ROMANCE REVIEWS

Ms. Boyett-Compo has written a wondrous tale. Akhkharu is a country we learn little about but we learn much about the life of Lalssu Keep where the ruling monarch lives. The Master is a kind, powerful man who brings passion to Jameela even though she wishes it was Dagan. Dagan’s love for Jameela brought tears to my eyes when reading of his suffering. He trains her so well to serve others but wishes he was a man so he could love her himself. Jameela’s character seems timid at the beginning of the story but she develops a strong backbone by the end of the tale. I enjoyed the world Ms. Boyett-Campo creates but the end seemed a tad rushed after the well paced beginning. Desire’s Sirocco is a well written story that makes you wish for the world of Akhkharu and the fierce Conclave warriors at your beck and call. Those who like erotic fantasy stories will enjoy this book.

I won’t reveal any of the details, because I don’t
wish to spoil the excellent plot. Suffice it to say
this was a great read with a few twists in the plot
not apparent from the clean simplicity of the start.
This was one of the best dark romances I’ve read in a
long while, and I enjoyed it greatly, finding myself
laughing and smiling at several points while I was
reading. The erotic scenes are beautifully lyric with
no crudity while still being scorching in their
detail. I highly recommend Desire’s Sirocco to people
that like dark romantic erotica. The book has a
satisfying and logical conclusion that was well done
and well within the darker scope the book took during
the course of the plot.
Brava Charlee on yet another excellent book.

PARANORMAL REVIEWS
DESIRE’S SIROCCO held me completely enthralled throughout all the twists and turns of this story. Charlotte Boyett-Compo shows her story writing ability in this tale of love and hate and evil beings. The world-building in this story is sufficient to understand what is going on without being overbearing. The characters are all realistic, I really like what happens to the mean old Brother Qutaybah. The sex is hot, the story doesn’t bog down and keeps moving. I recommend this one to all lovers of dark fantasy!

ROMANCE REVIEWS TODAY
Emotional upheavals and a fierce love make up the theme in DESIRE'S SIROCCO by acclaimed author Charlotte Boyett-Compo. With her almost poetic way of storytelling, Ms. Boyett-Compo has built a devoted fan base around her extremely tortured and dark heroes, and Dagan is no exception. His struggles when it comes to allowing himself to believe that he is truly deserving of Jameela is a characteristic that can sometimes be overdone, but this writer is able to convey Dagan's doubts without drowning the reader in them, which is a feat unto itself. Jameela is seductively shy, and although she is frightened by the intense feelings she has for her Master, she also knows that within her is the power to make him love her. It's just channeling into it that might be a problem, yet she is very tenacious when it comes to her love for Dagan. The mystery that surrounds Dagan's past is for the reader to discover, and what a secret it is.
DESIRE'S SIROCCO isn't rated S-ensuous for nothing, so please be aware that Charlotte Boyett-Compo's latest novel has a heightened sexuality that may not be to everyone's liking. But fans of this author, and those new to her who enjoy a little extra, will definitely not want to pass this one up.

As a long time fan of this author I have never read a book I didn't like by her. That said this story was a very pleasant surprise. With this being only the second erotic story I have read by this author I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised when this author combined Reapers and erotic writing. I found I am now looking forward to what I hope is the to a very intriguing new series.
For those who have read other books by this author you will get a bit of insight to the beginnings of the Reapers. For those who haven't read previous books by this author you are missing one of the best authors I've read in a long time.

ROMANCE JUNKIES REVIEWS

Charlotte Boyett-Compo’s is a new author for me and DESIRE’S SIROCCO is a terrific read. Dagan is a hot and passionately sensitive hero whose past tortures has not stopped him from becoming the man he is. The second son who suffered for being so has earned a place immortalized in this reviewer’s heart. The added elements of a shape shifting evil ensured for a plot twist that is guaranteed to hook the reader and draw them in firmly. Dagan’s and Jameela’s love rang true and the moments when she desire’s both brothers, all tie in nicely to make this a truly romantic read. I recommend DESIRE’S SIRROCO based upon the strength of Ms. Boyett-Compo’s writing skills and her fantastic way of spinning a new yarn, on the whole captor/slave love theme.

DESIRE’S SIROCCO is a riveting and scintillating novel of dark fantasy with a feel only Charlotte Boyett-Compo is capable of delivering. Panty-wetting sex scenes and unforeseen twists will keep this book in your hands until the wee hours of the morning. Jameela is sweet and kind-hearted to even her worst enemies and Dagan Kiel is the most handsome of dark and tortured heroes Ms. Boyett-Compo is famous for. The love that builds between these two characters can be felt from the very first and its outcome will leave you breathless. The fictional world Charlotte Boyett-Compo builds becomes real and the secondary characters are themselves a strong voice throughout the story.
Charlotte Boyett-Compo does it again! For years I have been a fan of Charlotte’s but I do believe she has found her true niche in writing dark erotica. The love that blossoms between Dagan and Jameela is erotic and vibrant. The love scenes in the Chamber are scintillating! Keep your knees crossed while reading this one ladies as the sex will make you wet with desire. The twists and turns will make this one book you do NOT want to put down.

This story of erotic training changes quickly into an unexpected story of adventure. Lord Dagan Kiel is the traner for the conclave, a secret society of warriors skilled in sex and war. The sensutality level is high, with explicit sex scenes.

Fallen Angel Reviews

Desire’s Sirocco is a lusty piece of erotic reading with dual storylines of forbidden love and paranormal shape-shifting. Ms. Boyett-Compo skillfully spins her tale of submission, desire, and the power that a woman finds in fulfilling the needs of her body. The twisting plot kept my attention and drew me into the story. Jameela and Dagan are the best kind of characters - layered, tormented, and emotional. Desire’s Sirocco is a perfect beginning to what I hope will be many more related intriguing stories from Charlotte Boyett-Compo.

The Earthchild Series Reviews

A thread in most of Ms. Boyett-Compo's work is her signature vampire culture known as Reapers, who are thus because of a parasite. I have long said that Charlotte Boyett-Compo is the master of the tormented hero--none of whom ever want the parasite and all of whom are set in societies, which alternately revere and victimize reapers. Always talking about her delicious heroes, I may have short-changed her, because she has a pretty deft hand with the tormented heroine too. In any case, the path of true love never does run smooth, and in Desire's Sirocco, our poor protagonists are in for a very bumpy ride.
One thing Boyett-Compo's stories never lack is angst.
After you savor the very erotic dish served up at the beginning (delivered almost as an appetizer to the story), there's actually a fantasy novel to read. There are a host of mysteries at work in the conclave, and no sooner do you think you have one of them figured out then something else comes up. The first solution to what you think is going on isn't what you think, and neither is the second, and so on. Thanks yet again to Ms. Boyett-Compo for a spicy, dependable page-turner with more twists than an erotic pretzel. Her entry into the Ellora's Cave elite collection of authors is going to be a major "windfall" for all of her devoted readers. A great read.

Love Romances Reviews

DESIRE’S SIROCCO is delightful from word one. The heat from the tension between Jameela and Dagan is intense enough to ignite stone. This reviewer was drawn into the story to the degree that this reviewer was distraught at the thought that they would never be able to be together when their love was so strong and true.
This reviewer also loved the unexpected twists and turns this story takes. It is one of Charlotte Boyett-Compos best books as there is no anticipating the exhilarating ride that she takes the reader on. This reviewer feels that she has done it again in gracing the world with another of her wonderful works.

Desire's Sirocco is set in a feudalistic style society garlanded with magic, telepathy, and mysterious noble warriors cloistered inside a forbidden keep. There is an almost conventional beginning to this unusual story: since this is an erotic romance, of course these warriors need women--and to that end, they have a "trainer" who procures and "trains" the potential consorts who are brought to their order. Into this ritual-laden society the orphaned Jameela comes when she is purchased by Lord Dagan, the trainer. She is an insecure neophyte made further vulnerable by the nastiness of one of the nobel's chief advisors. Lord Dagan is beautiful, manly, powerful and is developing feelings for his student. But he has one major major problem. Did I mention that he has one seriously major absolutely insurmountable problem?
Thanks yet again to Ms. Boyett-Compo for a spicy, dependable page-turner with more twists than an erotic pretzel. Her entry into the Ellora's Cave elite collection of authors is going to be a major "windfall" for all of her devoted readers. A great read.

    : Excellent!
Be warned that this is a DARK Fantasy Erotica. The love scenes leave nothing to the imagination.Dark Fantasy is something that author Charlotte Boyett-Compo excels at. Now she has taken her dark ability and mixed it with erotica romance. The combination makes for a powerful and potent story that readers will not be unable to resist. Out of all the eroticas I have read from this author, this book is probably my favorite. Excellent!

When I first receive a virtual pile of e-books, I like to skim through each one to get a feel for it before I sit down and read it at a later date. With 'Desire's Sirocco', though, I found myself literally unable to tear myself away from it, and soon enough 'a quick look' had turned into reading the first chapter, then the next, then the next… There's no higher praise I can give than that. This is a wonderful, evocative, sensual feast of a book, with wonderful characters, exciting action, high drama, and some truly scorching sex scenes. Don't miss this book!

DESIRE'S SIROCCO is an exciting, erotic dark romance that keeps the
reader guessing. Ms. Boyett-Compo's plot has so many unexpected twists
and turns, that I was continuously surprised and kept on the edge of my
seat. My emotions were engaged from the very beginning and I was truly
fearful for the characters-- by the end I was emotionally wrung out.
Kudos to Ms. Boyett-Compo for a great erotic read with emotional impact!

MYSTIQUE BOOKS: Another Look
DESIRE'S SIRROCO gives us is the birthing of a world/universe. Reapers are born here, the first in this series. It is fantastic to read about their beginnings, since in BLOODWIND the Prime Reaper, Cree, has already been infected for some time. And as is quoted by the movie Reanimator, "birth is always painful." *shudder* And don't let me forget to mention that Dagon's testicles make a stunning appearance. A gelding no more!
The sex is good but takes a back seat to Jameela and Dagon's story.--and Hagan's story, of course. An intense, intense read, as is Charlee's trademark style, this book is full of volitile and viable characters as well as worldbuilding so sharp that your teeth will ache. Highly recommended.
