ROMANCE REVIEWS TODAY

The book moves along at a fast clip keeping the interest of the readers who will wonder what will happen next among these strange entities. Ms. Boyett-Compo has a good imagination and makes these creatures intriguing and plausible.

BLACKWIND: VIRAIDEN AND BRONWYN is the conclusion of BLACKWIND: SEAN AND BRONWYN. Although the book can stand alone, for added enjoyment, readers may want to read the first book in this exciting series. An entertaining, romantic, and action-packed book, readers are sure to enjoy BLACKWIND: VIRAIDEN AND BRONWYN.

COFFEETIME ROMANCE

In the second book of this two part saga, the demons of their past are just as dangerous as the ones they face in the present. A love vowed never to die faces tests that could destroy them as they embrace the emotion once more. True to form as always, the author takes you once more on a darkly dangerous, bittersweet, emotional roller coaster ride that leaves you aching for the slightest of sweet resolutions. This is a brilliant finale to this two part saga. Note: It is recommended you read BlackWind, Sean and Bronwyn first.

FALLEN ANGELS REVIEWS

Charlotte Boyett-Compo has thrust us into the heart-rending world of the Reapers again. It was an emotional trip that really made me feel for all of the characters. Brian is a fantastic man who is willing to do what he can to help Bronwyn, and tries so hard to help Viraiden embrace Sean’s memories and live as a complete individual. Ms. Boyett-Compo has always had the talent to tear down a hero and rebuild him in such a way that you just want to hold him and soothe him; she shows it again in this book and you cannot wait to see if Viraiden lives happily-ever-after. Bronwyn was a fabulous heroine, but I fell in love with Sean in the first book and Viraiden in this one. I will continue to fall in love with Ms. Boyett-Compo’s heroes and hope she doesn’t ever quit creating these wonderful men.

THE ROMANCE READER CONNECTION

4 Plugs and a Star (Denotes a book is Outstanding, a step above Exceptional, bordering on Superior)

I thought this was a fantastic book. Dark and very deep, I liked trying to follow where Ms. Boyett-Compo was taking the reader. One warning, the book is fairly light on lovemaking, but there is one scene that may be disturbing to more sensitive readers. If you like eerie vampire stories, in a publishing industry that has been flooded with them, VIRAIDEN AND BRONWYN stands outs as a spectacular read. Don’t miss it, or its predecessor.

ETERNAL NIGHT REVIEWS

This is classic Charlotte Boyett-Compo Dark Fantasy in all its glory, a gripping, gut wrenching pair of books that will stay with you long after the final page has been turned. A novel not to be missed as the wonderful conclusion to Bronwyn's story and definitely a resident on my keeper shelf.

THE ROMANCE STUDIO

If anything, this novel is better than the first. Viraiden is a much stronger character, as is the grown up Bronwyn. The Nightwind Danyon has become even more obsessed with Bronwyn, but still thinks that he is cleverer than anyone else. The Bugol Noz is a very sympathetic character, as is the aged Nightwind, Cedric. The setting in a maximum-security mental institution is perfect for these characters. The story is full of action and there doesn't seem to be a lull here anywhere. I really enjoyed this one.

LOVE ROMANCES

BLACKWIND: VIRAIDEN AND BRONWYN by Ms. Boyett-Compo is an incredible tale of love that transcends death. When Bronwyn lost Sean she was still a young girl. Now she is a woman tempered by the sorrow of the past. While she never expects to find love again she has not been hardened to the point that she will reject finding it. A Reaper is only allowed one mate in a lifetime. Viraiden is conflicted because his situation is unique and it flat out frightens him. Viraiden and Bronwyn are characters that will stay with a reader. They are so multi-dimensional with all of the hopes, dreams, strengths, and flaws that they can easily become real to readers. The villains in this story are also memorable with the motivation for their vile acts understandable even though their acts are not acceptable.

BLACKWIND: VIRAIDEN AND BRONWYN has to be in this reviewer’s opinion one of Ms. Boyett-Compo’s best. This gem will run a reader through the emotional wringer, especially if the reader has also read the first book in this series, BLACKWIND: SEAN AND BRONWYN for the back-story. Reading both books is not required but this reviewer highly recommends it. Do not miss this dynamic duo! Get your copy today.

ENCHANTED RAMBLINGS

Even though I hadn't read the first book in the series, I didn't feel as if I was missing anything. There is a lot of suspense and action in this book. At over two hundred pages it is a longer read, but definitely worth it. Viraidan is more than worthy of the name Cree, and having read some of Ms. Boyett-Compo's other Reaper books I can tell you that this one is just as good as the rest. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next for her Reapers.

PARANORMAL ROMANCE REVIEWS

BLACKWIND: VIRAIDEN AND BRONWYN is a story filled with all different kinds of beings, from Nightwinds and the Bugol Noz, to Reapers and Amazeens. Once again, Charlotte Boyett-Compo comes through with a tortured hero, all kinds of danger, and a heartfelt sigh at the end of the story. This one is a bit different due to the Sean Cullen/Viraiden Cree angle and how the two of them must come to terms with living in one body. Have to say, I really loved the secondary characters of Cedric and Ralph. And Brian is much more of a father figure to Viraiden than he was to Sean. I can't wait to see where the next one in this series takes us.
