LUPINE REAPERS
HELL-HOUND REAPERS
PANTHERA REAPERS
Lupine Reapers were first created on Rysalia Prime. The Triune Goddess, Morrigunia, became obsessed with the first Reaper She encountered and began to create an entire race of the beings. She transfers a revenant worm from Her body into the body of a dying warrior whose bravery has captured Her notice. She places them on planets She wishes for them to oversee. She, Herself, produces Reaper young from the stolen seed of specially chosen Reapers who meet Her specific requirements to produce exceptional young.

Reapers are capable of shifting into wolf-like form as well as avian--depending on the clan totem (signiat) of their ancestors.

Reaper clan tattoos are given to in utero candidates just before puberty but generally to mature Reapers at Transference. Although these tattoos should be healed automatically by the Queen, it is believed She considers these laser brands special and likes to have Her Reapers marked in this way. A stylized crimson Grim Reaper tat is applied to the Reaper's left pectoral. The blue clan tattoos are applied to the left side of the face.

These warriors are monogamous once they find the woman destined to be their mate. They are incapable of having sex with any other female. When they impregnate their mate, only a male child will come of the union. The reason for this is the jealousy of the revenant queen he hosts within his body. She will not allow a rival female to be born of Her warrior's body.
Most Hell-Hound Reapers carry the stylized Grim Reaper tat on their right pectoral but not all are marked with a clan tat; It is a matter of preference. Hell-Hounds tend to be more conservative in their appearance although most wear earrings and signet rings to identify their totem.

Hell-Hound Reapers were created by the Triune Goddess who transfered one of Her revenant worms into the body of Her favorite attack hound. The hound had been gored by a bull and the transferrence was an effort to keep him alive. Shocked when the hound began to transition into a humanoid male, the goddess was intrigued by the notion of yet another species of Reaper and began to create more of them. She did not place upon the Hell-Hound the Geas (taboo) against polygamy.

The major difference between a Lupine and Hell-Hound Reaper is the Hound's inability to shift into any other form other than that of their canine counterparts. They transition in quarterly cycles...as does the Lupine...but will not revert to wolf-like form if tenerse or Sustenance is withheld.

Unlike the Lupine Reaper who can not mate with any female other than his fated mate, Hell-Hounds are not celebate. They will mount any willing female until such time as they find their bond-mate. Once that occurs, they are monogamous unless called upon to have relations with another female should the mission call for it. Goddess-sanctioned matings produce only male offspring.
The Panthera Reapers are the most mysterious and mage-like of the three species. They shift into black jaguar form with bright amber eyes and velvety black fur that has darker spots called rosettes, the centers of which are most visible in sunlight. Panthera Reapers are selectively bred in the zoos and exotic pet trades on their home world of Kefa in the Badarian Galaxy.

Pantheras are born in captivity, never created, and are often rejected by their human sorceress mothers at an early age. Hatred of the cub's father and the forced mating to bear young Panthera is cited as the cause of this lack of maternal care. As with all species of Reapers, the mating produces only male children.

Bred specifically for their ability to be relentless trackers and merciless killers as well as for their ability to become invisible at will, Panthera are kept caged until their handlers have need of their services. Allowed out only to perform missions, they are controlled by a thin crystal choker embedded with a computer chip that will cause excruciating pain if the Panthera disobeys an order or tries to remove the collar. They are branded on their backs with a sefet (a scarlet scimitar crossed by a dagger) which labels them as property of the government.

These Reapers are allowed to mate only during breeding season at their compound. Few have ever escaped captivity but those who do will seek out a female with psychic powers who will be their only mate until death.
