An Fear Liath Mor—The Big Gray Man. He is the Guardian of the Gateway into the Other World, He Who Keeps Closed the Doorway to the Abyss.
He is twenty-feet tall with shaggy gray fur. He has long arms that end in paws with thick talons and big feet with downward curving claws. His eyes are a strange glowing blue but will turn red when he is angered. He walks upright and has the speed of a jaguar when he runs. He can fly and dematerialize at will.There is an unholy stench that rises from his fur and that
adds to the acute feeling of fear, doom, and impending disaster that falls upon those who get a whiff of his scent. He exudes feelings of emotional, spiritual, psychological and physical discomfort to those he wishes to frighten. He whistles ghostly tunes and also
plays eerie little tunes on a tin whistle to further terrorize his victims...those he does not want on his mountains. He can read minds, can communicate telepathically, and will
issue commands to those he dislikes to throw themselves off the rocky ledges to their deaths.
Like the Yeti, Sasquatch and Bigfoot, this creature stays mostly in the mountains and away from prying eyes. He resides primarily on the Scottish mountain of Ben Macdhui.
Given the respectful title of Vainshtyr which means 'Master', An Fear Liath Mor's true name is Geata Coimirceoir (Coim to those he considers friends). He hails from beyond time and space and is the protector of mankind, the guardian
of the portals that lead into other dimensions. Once every three years, he is allowed to return to his homeworld for the span of a few months' time so he may be with his mates Adai and Feei,the mothers of his legal cubs (Feei has given him thirty-eight males and Adai has given him fifty-two females and twenty-four males) He has 33 other offspring
by concubines.
He tells his friends he is a vegetarian because he knows they will be unnerved by him if he reveals he is a carnivore who likes his meat very rare. He will take a drop of a friend's blood so he will be able to track that
friend no matter where he or she may be. He calls his friends my charrey.
He can call fire from the Doorway if the need arises and can teach humans the art of healing. He takes care of his Wards without interfering with the Great God’s plans for them. With healing,
the Great God gifted Coim with the option of knowing when and how to intervene. There are of course times when the Great God overrules what Coim does, but that is His right as the Great God.
When the Great God decides an innocent’s life race is run and it is time to be brought Home, He takes the matter out of Coim's hands.
Among his vast amount of powers are the ability to read minds, see the future, and travel anywhere in the megaverse in the blink of an eye. Before the Burning War begins, he will take Jamie and Mairi MacGivern, Mikhail and Keenan Fallon, Kenzi Delaney and Randon Cree, and the Supervisors of both the Exchange and the Tearmann Cooperation..as well as their mates...to safety far beyond Earth.
He loves to sing but has a tendency to mishear the lyrics.
