Amazeen are warrior women who are goverened by two separate queens: A domestic queen who overseas the day to day affaris of the country and the defense queen who is in charge of training the warrioresses and protecting the Amazeen.

At the age of thirteen, many warrioresses opt to have their right breasts (or left if they are left-handed) removed in order to better facilitate the use of a long bow.

Trained from early childhood in the art of combat, the warrioresses can be fierce, bloodthirsty opponents who do not oten give quarter. The male warriors with whom they fight are captured and either taken to breeding farms or are put to work as slaves who perform the menial duties the warrioresses disdain.

Among them is a special caste of warrioresses known as Blackwinds who are specifically trained for tracking and exacting revenge on Reapers. Blackwinds take an oath to carry out their duty to the death and are rarely swayed for the execution of their mission.

The weapon of choice for the Amazeen in the low bow but they are taught to be proficient with the Dņigra, a long pike upon which a starburst glass bulb is attached at the business end. The bulb can discharge a blast that will char the flesh.
